A Gantt chart lays your tasks out as bars across a time axis, so you can see what happens when and what depends on what. In ZenBuild a Gantt is just another view of a table you already have, built from your start and due date columns.
A Gantt view is built from two date columns, a start and a due or end date. Open a table that has them, or add two date columns and give each row a start and a finish. A single-select Status or a percent-format number column is optional, but it unlocks progress fill on the bars later.
Click the Add view button in the view tabs and choose Gantt. Pick your start and end date columns. Your records arrange into horizontal bars across a day, week, or month axis, one bar per row, in a split layout: an editable task list on the left and the timeline on the right. A today line marks the current date.

If your table has a Link to record column, choose it as the Dependencies field to draw arrows from each predecessor to the task that follows it. Choose a percent-format number or a status single-select as the Progress source to fill each bar as work gets done. You can also nest subtasks under a parent task to keep a large plan readable.
Drag a bar along the timeline to move a task, or drag its edges to change its start or end date. The underlying date columns update automatically and the change shows in every other view. Switch the zoom between week, month, and quarter to fit the plan on screen, and share a read-only link so stakeholders can follow along.
